ProShot Dive Case Set Up & After Care
To open your case and remove your sliding insert, you'll need to unlatch both blue latches on the sides of your case. These latches are connected to your case's end cap which is connected to the sliding insert.
Directly above both blue side latches, there's a little black lever that says "open" on it. Slide the black "open" lever up, then pull the blue side latch out from the top of the latch. These latches function similarly to a mason jar. Repeat on both sides.
When closing and sealing your case, make sure both blue side latches are attached to the protruding part on the sides of the end cap before locking back into place.
Sliding Insert Instructions:
The sliding insert has a spring-loaded clamp where the smartphone will attach. You'll need to remove the sliding insert from the outer case, and then insert your smartphone into the clamp on the sliding insert.
Step 1. Insert your phone into the sliding insert clamp:
First, remove any case from your phone. While looking at your phone's screen, line up the left side of your phone with the clamp wall on the left, then push your phone and clamp wall to the left until your phone fits into the insert.
Step 2. *Important* Align your phone's volume buttons with clamp (+) & (-) buttons: You MUST align both of your phone’s volume buttons with one set of (+) & (–) buttons on the sliding insert. There are two sets of (+) & (–) buttons on the insert, align your phone’s volume buttons with either the top or bottom set.
*Note for smaller phones: If you have a smaller

smartphone that does not stay perfectly in place when clamped, then there's one extra step when inserting your phone into the sliding insert clamp. Place the long skinny foam piece (found in your travel case) into the left side of the clamp/against the top of the clamp wall (adhering optional), and then insert your phone following the step above. The long skinny foam piece should sit on the side of your smartphone to keep it clamped into place and lined up with the correct set of volume buttons.
When your phone is locked inside the case and you're using the ProShotCase camera app for underwater filming, you'll be controlling your phone's camera entirely with your volume buttons - this is why it's important for both of your phone's volume buttons to line up accurately with one of the (+) & (–) volume button sets on the sliding insert.
The sliding insert clamp is designed with “sticky” silicone pads all around where the phone sits to keep the phone in place (underneath and on both sides). The foam pieces are provided as extra help for smaller phones to remain in place, since keeping the volume buttons aligned correctly is essential for using our ProShotCase camera app!
The second foam piece included is extra - you can place it along the inner clamp wall below the first piece, or you can place it at the top or bottom of the sliding insert to keep the phone in place.
ProShot Team Tip: While underwater, if you find your phone has slid out of place and your volume buttons are no longer perfectly lined up, here’s our personal tip: hold the case vertically (camera lens up towards the surface), and tap either the bottom or top of the case to gently slide your phone either up or down. The tapping direction is counter-intuitive!
• If you need to slide your phone down in the case, then tap the bottom of the case to move it down.
• To move your phone up in the case, tap the top of the case.
Before EVERY use, it's important you inspect, clean, and grease your o-ring gasket in the end cap to ensure it's free of sand and debris.

Step 3. Detach your end cap from the sliding insert tray: Hold your sliding insert tray horizontally, then twist the end cap down to unhook it from the tray's bottom hinges.
Step 4: Clean and grease your o-ring: Once your end cap is removed, clean & prepare your o-ring for underwater use by adding a dab of ProShot Silicone Grease to the tip of a provided o-ring cleaning tool, and use it to remove any sand and debris. Then apply a thin layer of silicone grease around your entire o-ring gasket with the o-ring cleaning tool. The silicone grease adds an extra layer of protection and lubrication, preventing leaks by improving the seal and reducing the risk of sand or debris from interfering with the o-ring gasket.
The video below demonstrates this entire cleaning & prepping process.

Once your phone is secure with the volume buttons aligned in the sliding insert clamp, and you've added the anti-glare filter and/or a red filter (both optional), you're ready to lock your case. The anti-glare filter and red filter both go in the sliding insert's camera window. You can find instructions for the anti-glare filter and red filters in other info drop downs on this page.
Step 5. *Necessary* - open the ProShotCase App on your phone BEFORE inserting your phone into the outer case!

> Click here for ProShotCase App Tips(https://www.proshotcase.com/app-tips)
*You cannot interact with your touchscreen once you insert your phone into the ProShot Dive Case. Our ProShotCase App (required for all underwater photography) interacts with your smartphone's volume buttons, allowing you to control your phone's camera 100% with your volume buttons.
Step 6. Lock your case: Slide the sliding insert back into the outer case body and secure the end cap to the bottom using the two blue side latches. Attach the bottom of the blue side latch to the protruding part on the side of the end cap and close the blue latch, similar to a mason jar. Repeat on both sides. Please see the video below for how to lock the end cap to the case.

Step 7. Double check that the end cap is secured and properly attached to the outer case body. Click both your volume buttons to make sure they're aligned and interacting with your smartphone.
Once all is properly secured, you're ready to go film your underwater adventures!

It's important that you follow our after care tips after each use (especially in salt water) to keep your ProShot Dive Case in great condition. Cleaning your case following the tips below will remove any salt residue on your lens area for crisp footage, will reduce the chance of rusting for longevity, and will keep your seals and gaskets clean from sand so they remain intact and watertight.
Rinse your ProShot Dive Case with fresh water after every use and let it air dry. It's especially important to rinse your case's volume buttons while pressing them in and out, both blue side latches and the pins inside them, the camera lens plus their screws, and the floating hand grip screw. All these parts are 316 stainless steel to prevent rusting, but salt water is corrosive so best not to leave salt on these parts.
Watch the video below to see how the ProShot team rinses their case with fresh water after every use.

Clean your o-ring gasket: Use the o-ring cleaning tool & silicone grease provided with your ProShot Dive Case to clean the end-cap & o-ring before and after each use. This ensures the end cap remains free of debris, preventing potential leaks.
*Please refer to the video below on how to correctly clean your end cap & o-ring.

Long-term storage for long breaks between use: If you're not planning to use your case for a while, it's good to lubricate your o-ring gasket with the provided ProShot Silicone Grease so it stays hydrated and intact. Detach the end cap from the sliding insert, and add a dab of silicone grease to the tip of an o-ring cleaning tool to spread around the o-ring gasket.
Additional cleaning and storage tips:
• If needed, rub toothpaste on the exterior lens area to clean your lens on your ProShotCase.
• Always store your ProShot Dive Case in the Travel Case with the camera lens side facing up to prevent any scratches to the camera viewing window.
*Please refer to the photo below for how to store the ProShot Dive Case correctly.

WHEN TO USE:
Recommended to use with smaller smartphone's that do not cover a majority of the case's camera window/lens. It's especially helpful to use when filming near the water’s surface (above and below) in bright sunny conditions. This filter will block sunlight reflections and glare from appearing in your footage.
HOW TO USE:
Place the already cut anti-glare filter into the sliding insert camera window (aligned like the photo below) prior to inserting your smartphone into the sliding insert clamp.
HOW TO CUT OUT CAMERA LENS SLOT BEFORE FIRST USE:
Before first use, you'll need to cut out a slot for your phone's camera lens. To do this, we recommend following this simple trick (video demo below):
https://static.wixstatic.com/media/fdee45_0ea2cb0e672f4c91a35c993be5af654b~mv2.png
1. Place the uncut anti-glare filter into the sliding insert camera window (aligned like the photo to the right).
2. Slide your phone into the sliding insert clamp with your phone's volume buttons lined up with one of the (+) & (-) button sets on the sliding insert. You can press the little (+) & (-) button tabs on the sliding insert to make sure they engage with each volume button.
3. Once your phone is in place, flip the sliding insert over (with your phone's screen facing down), then gently rub/press the anti-glare filter over your phone's camera lens. This will create an outline of your camera lens on the anti-glare filter to cut around.
4. Remove your phone and anti-glare filter from the sliding insert, then cut around the pressed camera lens outline on the filter. Voilà! You will only need to do this once.

How to Connect the Floating Hand Grip to your Case: Insert the top of the floating hand grip into the mounting bracket on the outside of your case, and line up the hole through both mounts. Slide the attachment screw through the mount hole while pressing your finger against the nut on the floating hand grip mount. Tighten the screw until securely in place.
Floating Handgrip Tips:
This is an adjustable buoyancy floating hand grip! The inside is hollow and can be filled with water to create neutral buoyancy. We recommend filling the floating hand grip up with water when scuba diving to keep your phone floating next to you, as opposed to trying to float to the surface.
*IMPORTANT* Make sure the bottom end cap piece of the floating hand grip is screwed on tightly before each use. Ensure that the o-ring is intact inside the blue end cap piece.
Watch the video below to see how to connect a ProShot Underwater Dive Light to the ProShot Camera Tray.
To attach your ProShot Dive Case to the Camera Tray, line up your case's mounting bracket with the tray's GoPro mount and use the attachment screw to lock your case into place.
