Why Use a Red Filter for Underwater Photography?
As you dive deeper, water absorbs warm colors like red, orange, and yellow, leaving images with a blue or green cast. Red tones begin to disappear at ~30 ft / 10 m. Below ~50 ft / 18 m, most warm colors are lost entirely. Using a red filter helps correct this color loss so your underwater footage looks clearer and more true-to-life, without needing to edit it. If your case breaks in any way during the first 12 months, ProShot will send you a free replacement case. If your smartphone is damaged due to a defective ProShotCase, ProShot will replace/reimburse you for a new smartphone.
